(2) The Gospel Call - A Royal Summons for A Royal Pardon...

The Gospel Call, is no mere human calling to follow a particular faith, or religious belief, for its origins are not in man, but in God. This calling is so powerful that it brings about the response that it asks for in people hearts.

"God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord." (1 Cor. 1:9)...

This calling has the capacity to draw us out of the Kingdom of Darkness, and to bring us into God's Kingdom; the Kingdom of Light, enabling us to have fellowship with God, through His Son our Lord Jesus. 

There are two characteristics to this calling: 1) the external and general call, and 2) the internal and effective call. 

1) The external and general call, is the call of the Gospel, to all peoples even to those who ultimately will reject the call. 2) The internal call is the inner calling that actually brings about a willing response from the person who hears it. 

This inner calling is encapsulated within the external call, therefore, it is vital that the Gospel is proclaimed to all living persons, globally.

The appropriate response, for the individual, on hearing this calling is to repent of his or her sins and trust personally in the finished work of Jesus on the cross at Calvary, and in His subsequent resurrection.

Jesus said: "No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him; and I will raise him up on the last day."... "Effective calling is an act of God the Father, speaking through the human proclamation of the gospel, in which He summons people to Himself in such a way that they respond in saving faith."

Today if you would hear His voice, do not harden your hearts, for today, is the day of your salvation....
