Sentinel Research Ministries

How the ministry began

January 2013 saw the launch of a new Christian research ministry, aimed at researching and providing information on contemporary and historical issues impacting the 21^st Century Church. Sentinel Research Ministries grew out of several seminars held at Worthing Tabernacle, Independent Evangelical Church, in summer 2008 and winter 2009. These seminars, focused upon the following issues considered to be of growing concern within the evangelical community:

1. Defining a Cult - what are they and how do they work?
2. The Emergent Church
3. Contemplative Prayer is it Christian?
4. Roman Catholicism and the rise of Ecumenicism
5. The New Age Movement and the Cosmic Christ Principle

The seminar content and presentations, were researched and presented by Joseph Wisener: freelance writer, professional information specialist and librarian.
